The Accidentals is the University of St Andrews’ first all-female a capella ensemble and the winner of the 2015 Scottish A Cappella Championships. Founded in 1994, The Accidentals have evolved over the years, yet still maintain their distinct performance style and creative flair. The group is currently made up of girls from across academic years, majors, and nationalities. We perform locally and travel for competitions, music festivals, and group bonding trips. We are shaped by a group effort in all of our numbers and try to reflect each individual’s musical input. Our philosophy is that if we enjoy our performances, the audience will, too. We are fun, feisty. and fierce, but always take ourselves with a pinch of salt and hopefully provide a comic injection!
